Western Kentucky Film Festival is proud to present The Itching

Synopsis: “The Itching is a parable about a wolf that tries to connect with a group of bunnies but finds her body is in revolt. It’s a clay animation project that has a narrative but contains no dialogue and relies more on tone, sound, lighting, color, movement, and gesture to express its story and themes.”

Dianne Bellino is a writer/director of narrative and experimental forms in both live action and animation. Her latest film, The Itching, a collaboration with animator Adam Davies, will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2016. Previous films have screened at SXSW, Ann Arbor, RISD Museum, Netflix and Fandor, and are available on DVD through The Journal of Short Film and Drag City. Her work has been supported by grants from NYSCA and the Boomerang Fund for the Arts, and artist residencies at the MacDowell Colony, Yaddo, and the Ucross Foundation. Originally from Rhode Island, Bellino lives in New York City, where she teaches filmmaking and is the Assistant Dean of the School of Art at Pratt Institute.
